No matter how much research you do about different heater features and specifications (and you should do a lot) it can’t be a replacement for the real life experience of a contractor who has installed tens or hundreds of furnaces in homes similar to your own. Read all the consumer reports you want on different makes and models (and yes, do read them!) but having a relationship with the person who is responsible for installing them and repairing them will definitely aid you in making the right purchase installation decisions.

That said, often contractors have a relationship with a certain manufacturer and are only available to install models of that brand. This is alright since there are a lot of good brands available to you, but part of your preliminary research should definitely be knowing what brands are acceptable to you and which are not as this will be the first thing that will limit which contractor you want.

Now start to build your list of contractors. You can start with the yellow pages, but that might be a bit overwhelming and random. The best bet of course is personal recommendations. Friends and neighbors, especially those with homes and needs similar to yours are going to be a good resource here. Don’t be shy, when people really like or dislike their contractor they love to talk about it. Look for the enthusiastic reports (positive or negative) and use those to build or shrink your list.

The newest technique to produce beautiful finishing is powder coating. It is a process of applying a coating without the need to use solvents. This is similar to applying dry paint on the surface. Instead of paint, however, pigmented powder created from aluminum, medium density fiberboards, fusion-bonded epoxy and acrylics are used to produce polymer granules. They are mixed with powder ingredients and pigments to produce the desired color.

All of these ingredients are placed in an extruder, rolled flat and then cooled off. It is then broken down into many pieces and milled to produce the powder. The powder is usually applied using a gun with electronic charge. The object is then heated to melt the powder making the finish stick on the surface. It produces a hard, tough and abrasion resistant skin for the object. This is a preferred finishing for metallic objects because it can produce a very smart looking result and can be applied in a wide range of thickness.

There are various equipment used in powder coating. One is the gun used to spray the electronically charged powder on to the surface of the object. One type of gun is called the corona charging gun. Electronic power is used to produce a charge on the powder. This gun can be used either internally or externally. Another type of powder coating gun is the tribo charging gun. This gun produces friction between the powder and the gun barrel. It uses friction instead of electricity to produce the electric charge for the powder. A bell charging gun flings the powder from the perimeter of the bell producing the electrical charge on the powder. Whichever gun you use, the end result is the same. To compare and contrast between guns, check out specialized sites on the Web about power coating.

If you are new to oil painting, hopefully you will find these following tips very helpful for your hobby. Don’t feel that you have to spend a fortune to get into oil painting. When looking for oil paint supplies you will find that they are available in many places today. Specialized art supply stores are always great places to look. Typically specialized oil painting supplies and equipment can be found at locations such as:

Craft shops
Fabric stores
Big-box discount stores
Online art suppliers
Educational supply stores

The best ideas always start with a phone book to see what’s available in your specific area. Specialized art supply stores typically offer wide over way of supplies. You can usually find a very knowledgeable staff that is typically very helpful in your selections. However specialty shops are often more expensive than the discount stores or online suppliers that you will typically find. While most craft shops and discount stores have great prices they tend to offer very little information. Your best bet is always to do research in advance and develop a list of equipment to get beforehand.

With these concepts in mind you should be able to develop a supply chest for your oil painting projects that should last you for years to come on top of that your budget should not be exceeded for the supplies that you need of course while you are just learning to paint as often not recommended by the most expensive supplies in any given store always operate within your budget whenever possible not to exceed it so you lose interest in the hobby.

We have been studying the labor rates of Oil, Lube and Filter Quick Lube Facilities and we are finding that the pay is lower than you might expect. We also believe this is part of the problem with recruiting and retaining key employees. The average employee at a Quick Lube is a little under $7.00, which is lower than you would expect and certainly lower than the customer is thinking you are paying. This maybe why the average employee only stays employed about 1.8 years and then leaves for greener employment.

A recent survey shoed us that the pay was actually $7.75 and the average employee stayed on 2 years, this is not what we found in our survey talking to people in the business. Of course in our survey we did factor in Wal-Mart quick lubes which so many in the industry deny their existence even though they command over 11% market share and growing at 2% per year, we expect by 4% per year by 2005. The average Manager in the Industry is being paid $32,519.00 yearly from an ASO Magazine and NOLN-National Oil and Lube News. The average manager is staying about 4 years. But we think these numbers will change as competition continued to increase and we are predicting 980 new Oil and Lube buildings to be erected and start business by End of Year 2004.

We have seen in the Pharmacy Business where companies compete for top managers and this will continue into this industry. Lube owners in the same survey showed that they took draws of $54,835.00, which is most likely going to be higher in 2004 judging by the upward trend. Although we saw 440 Lube Companies withdraw from the market in the past 6 months. Mostly due to being too close to Wal-Mart, Lawsuits and employee issues. Which is why this article is a wake-up call. The average in the mobile oil change and on-site fleet oil change business is about $10.00 per hour with incentives. Managers of crews when teams are involved are usually $15.50 per hour plus incentives and average then about $42,000 per year on an annual basis. Owners of mobile units appear to be taking home much less than their fixed site competitors. Although those with many units seem to be doing a higher profit margin over all.

It is an established fact that wine racks are very useful for the storage of different kinds of wines. Wine lovers can purchase wine racks made of different types of wood or metals such as iron and wrought iron.

A wrought iron wine rack is made of a special type of iron obtained by refining of cast iron. It is produced by the reduction of iron ore and is relatively free from carbon and other kinds of impurities. It literally means that the iron has been wrought by hammering on a forge. It has low compressive strength and high tensile strength. It can also be easily welded into different decorative shapes. This is the reason wrought iron is mostly preferred for making wine racks.

Customers can search for a suitable wrought iron wine rack at the local furniture stores or on the Internet. They appear very elegant and traditional in style. They are sturdier and can be crafted into artistic pieces by the master artisans. Various kinds of wrought iron racks are available in different colors and shapes as per the need of the customers. Customers are advised to shop around in various local stores and showrooms and even on the Internet for their kind of wine rack.

The beauty of landscaping is that it possesses the potential to turn something that began its life as something ordinary into something beautiful. Anything can be used as a tool when landscaping, from bricks to blocks to rocks to concrete. That’s right, concrete. With the proper application and any skilled hand to guide it is concrete can be an invaluable asset when attempting to revitalize a neglected piece of land.

The most common use for kind in the landscaping project is the addition of paving stones to create a walkway and/or staircase. Stone walkways are inarguably a beautiful asset to any landscaping project, providing a touch of class to even the most mundane beginning. Remember Dorothy in “The Wizard of Oz”? Try to imagine Oz without the yellow brick road. Chances are good that at some point a mason looked down at a boring stretch of dirt and said, “I think this looks as though it could use a walkway.” How he ever managed to come by the yellow paving stones will remain his secret to the end of time.

Aside from building walkways concrete can also be used to build walls. This can be done by creating a mold, then dumping the concrete in an allowing it to harden before removing the edges of the mold. Walls make a beautiful addition to any part of the house but are particularly beautiful land surrounding a body of water, such as a lake, swimming pool, pond or wishing well. It is also particularly effective when used on uneven ground to provide a tiered look to a garden.

In spite of its appearance, concrete has a unique ability to provide a clean, cool look to even the messiest backdrop. Whatever the project, it is well worth considering the use of concrete as a landscaping tool.

Welding robots are used in industrial welding processes and facilitate automatic welding. Welding robots work on the principle of robotics and are controlled by robotic equipment. They work on the algorithm, which is required for the computation of work command. Welding robots are designed so that they can operate under various conditions at high duty cycles.

There are two popular types of welding robots that are usually useful in industrial welding. They are “arc welding robots” and “spot welding robots.” These two welding robots are classified according to articulating robots and rectilinear robots on the basis of rotation of wrist in space.

Welding robots perform their tasks more repeatedly than a manual welder because of the repetitive program and monotony of the task. Welding robots offer many benefits to customers that include consistency and quality of welding, reduction of production costs, fewer scrapped parts, and an increase on your returns on investment. Welding robots also possess repeatability and consistent positional accuracy, which provides a better quality product than manual production. It helps in reduction of labor costs as well.

Welding robots require appropriate maintenance for continuous operations of welding. They may require regular recalibration or reprogramming for it. Proper robotic system design also help in minimizing interruptions in continuous production line. Correctly programmed welding robots precisely provide the same welds every time on pieces of the same dimensions and specifications.

Ceramic tile. Now there’s a term for you. When hearing or reading it, most people think of the highly glazed “bathroom” tiles of years gone by or of decorative tiles which are used to dress up otherwise plain tile installations. After all, aren’t there many different kinds of clay tiles? Aren’t ceramic tiles just a small part of the field?

Actually, no. The term “ceramic tile” covers almost every clay product produced and used within the tile industry. In addition to four-and-a-quarter-inch bathroom tiles and colorful “decos,” there are “monocottura” or single-fired floor tiles, 1-inch and 2-inch “mosaic” tiles mounted on sheets, double-, triple-, and even quadruple-fired tiles decorated in dozens of different ways, and large format porcelain tiles which are used on floors and walls. It is this last category of tiles that we will concern ourselves with here. There is a great deal of confusion concerning the status of porcelain tiles, most of it generated within the tile industry itself.

Sales of floor tiles in the U.S. and Canada have doubled in slightly over a decade, and the popularity of tiled floors continues to increase at a dramatic rate. The rise in tile sales can be attributed to two factors primarily: a determined and well-thought-out effort developed and sustained by marketing and sales forces within the industry; and by constant and significant improvements achieved by tile manufacturers over the past couple of decades. In slightly over twenty years we’ve come from fairly soft “knob-back” floor tiles made from terracotta-like clays to extremely dense dust pressed porcelains that are all but indestructible. Walk into any tile salesroom today, and you will find mostly porcelain tiles displayed.

Ask a tile sales person whether porcelain tiles are stronger and more durable than ceramic tiles and in most cases the answer will be yes. But although porcelain tiles are indeed strong and durable, that answer is essentially incorrect. As I stated above, porcelain tiles ARE ceramic tiles. Porcelain is simply a type of ceramic clay. Porcelain tiles are those which have the lowest absorption rates of all the ceramic tiles available. To be classed as “porcelain,” a tile cannot absorb more than .5 percent of it’s total mass in water. Many porcelain tiles absorb less than that — down to as little as .1 percent. In the industry, these tiles are called “impervious.”

Comparing the pricing bids of steel buildings can be a confusing decision for any company in need of steel buildings. Different steel building company offer different pricing options for the same requirement. And, generally, the most common tendency is to choose the cheapest i.e. the lowest price building. But is this always the wisest choice? It might not be!

For example, a price quote for a steel building may not include insulation. However, if you live in a part of the country which requires wall and roof insulation because of weather extremes, you will have to pay extra get the insulation done if you choose the one which does not offer it in the complete package. Consequently, the price of the steel building escalates far beyond the price we originally budgeted. Therefore, when you select a low price steel or metal building, find out what you are receiving with the price and then allow for the additional costs to meet your requirements. Also, you should take care that building quality is not compromised under the lowest price.

Many people choose so-called “economy” buildings that are offered by some steel building manufacturers and suppliers. What we need to consider is the thinness of the metal, since many times these thinner metal buildings do no come painted at the price it is sold out. Painting with Siliconized Polyester paint (which is recommend) is an added expense. Not only this, for related accessories like, a roll-up door, a walk door, and a window, we need to analyze if these are included in costs.

Plastic Extrusion is a manufacturing technique used to form thermoplastic compounds into unremitting products such as sheeting, rods, cast film, tubes, filaments, cable, cord, mono filaments, synthetic fibers, hollow sections for blow molding, compounding, reclaim of plastic pellets, and to coat wire. An extrusion mechanism includes twin screw systems, which are generally used for PVC pipe or profiles and single screw systems, which are used for these and other extruded products.

In this technique, plastic chips or pellets is first loaded and fed into a long heating chamber through which it is stimulated by the action of a continuously revolving screw. At the opposite of the heating chamber the molten plastic is forced out through a small hole or dies with the shape desired in the finished product. As the plastic extrusion comes from the die, it is fed onto a conveyor belt where it is cooled, most frequently by blowers or by immersion in water.

In the process of wide film or sheeting, the plastic is molded in the form of a tube. This tube may be split as it comes from the die and then stretched and thinned to the size desired in the finished film and in the case of wire and cable coating, the thermoplastic is thrust out around a continuing length of wire or cable which like the plastic, passes through the extruder die. The coated wire is wound on drums after cooling.
