The Sweet Escape is the second solo studio album by American pop and rock singer Gwen Stefani, released by Interscope Records in December 2006 (see 2006 in music). Having originally intended to return to No Doubt after her 2004 solo album Love. Angel. Music. Baby., Stefani decided to record a second album as a way to release some of the material left over from the L.A.M.B. writing sessions. The album musically resembles its predecessor while exploring more modern pop sounds. It was released to generally mixed reviews from contemporary music critics, receiving criticism for its strong similarities to L.A.M.B.

It was preceded by the lead single “Wind It Up”, which charted moderately across the world, and produced the follow-up single “The Sweet Escape”, which proved more successful worldwide. The Sweet Escape has reached the Canadian, U.S, & Australian top five and has peaked inside the top twenty in the UK. The Sweet Escape Tour, started in April 2007, covered North America, Central America, Australia, Asia and Europe.

he Sweet Escape received mixed responses from critics.[17] Stephen Thomas Erlewine wrote for Allmusic: “From the stilted production to the fashion fetish, all the way down to her decision to rap on far too much of the album, all the dance-pop here seems like a pose.”[18] Alex Miller’s review for the NME was more emphatic, dubbing it “this year’s bargain-bin fodder”, and stated that “the majority of this record serves only to bury what made Gwen Stefani unique in the first place.

Nashville Star is an American reality television program. It was transmitted during mid-2008 on NBC, following five seasons on USA Network. It premiered on March 8, 2003, and its five seasons on USA made it the longest-running competition series on cable television.[1] In Canada, the show aired on CMT through season 5, but moved to E! beginning with season 6. CMT in the United States reaired each episode in season 6.[2]

It is similar to American Idol, in that performers must sing to impress both celebrity judges and the public via call-in and/or internet votes. Unlike American Idol, however, the performers are limited to country music. This restriction was relaxed for Season 6, allowing for the finalists to choose from many genres of music, but the songs were arranged to maintain a country sound.

On March 13, 2009, it was confirmed that the series had been canceled by NBC and would not be returning for a seventh season.[3]

In a format nearly identical to the final round of American Idol, finalists perform one song per week individually and face criticism and/or praise from a panel of three judges. At the end of the show, voting opens to the viewing public, who may cast votes by calling a toll-free telephone number or logging on to the show’s official website (texting was added as a voting option in 2008). The performer with the fewest number of votes is eliminated.

Party favors are gifts or articles presented to guests who attend functions such as engagement, wedding, birthday, Valentine or Christmas celebrations. Teenagers typically have their own tastes when it comes to organizing parties. Themes such as sweet sixteen parties are exclusively appealing to teenagers. They help create more excitement in the party with games, dance and snacks revolving around a chosen theme. Teenagers love to attend sweet sixteen parties, which appeal to their carefree and idealistic attitude. There are some articles that are ideal for gifting away as party favors during sweet sixteen parties, as a token of love and remembrance.

Many companies exclusively manufacture sweet sixteen party favors such as place-card holder, ceramic coffee mug and photo frames. Gifts in edible form can be pleasing and tasty and are often preferred to be given away as party favors during sweet sixteen parties. Sweet sixteen parties are ideal platforms for teenagers to gift their loved ones with attractive articles such as cookies, chocolates or accessories. Preferred party favors for teenage girls include hair accessories, lip gloss, nail polish while for teen boys, tattoos, diaries, journals, rubber stamps and key chains are the preferred articles.

As a guest, there can be nothing as delightful as a personalized party favor that is handed out at the end of a party. A favor that has time and thought put into it is always a little bit more special then the average parting gift. There are gift stores that personalize articles such as photo frames and candles for teenagers. Another good idea for party favors is personalized accessories that are highly appreciated by young children.

There are various articles available in gift stores that have beautiful designs and engravings. They include cups, mementos, lamps and pen stands that can be personalized and create lasting memories of life’s special occasions, such as valentine day celebrations. Most sweet sixteen party favors are exorbitantly priced but many gift stores provide discounted rates to buyers when bought in bulk.

Most people excessively admire a famous person and their daily lifestyle and behavior is highly influenced due to this admiration. Hollywood stars, music icons, sports icons, government officials and politicians are some of the celebrities that have always held some influence over the masses. Many people try to avail of video clips that allow them to closely evaluate their admired celebrities. Video clips are short clips excerpted from bigger video files and are usually about fifteen minutes in length. These video clips mostly show significant moments from larger files and videos. Video clips are an effective way for budding video developers to make a name for themselves in the business.

Celebrity video clips are generally made so that admirers and fans can take a closer look into the lifestyle of celebrities. Celebrity video clips may be based on celebrity interviews, shown on popular television shows and news programs. The video clips may show some prominent comments made by celebrities on some of the questions asked by the host. Some celebrity video clips are based on the way celebrities spend their time and money and some of the principles they follow. This type of video clip helps celebrities improve their social image and become more popular. Other celebrity video clips may incorporate scenes from famous movies that show quality acting skills, humor and award winning performances. Celebrity video clips of sports icons show some of the feats on the ground that has made them popular. Some may also be based on quality speeches made by admired politicians about virtues, principles, and social work. Celebrity video clips are viewed by almost everyone fascinated by them. Most celebrity video clips are available on the Internet for download. Some websites may allow free download while others require payment before downloading the file. These video clips are available in many formats ranging from fast-streamed videos and MPEG formats to AVI, MOV, and WMV formats. Common video players such as Real Video Player, Windows Media Player, and QuickTime support almost all formats and support sound along with the video. Celebrity video clips can also be viewed on mobile phones and palm tops.

Life has really become fast paced and now it is no longer enough to be good at something. It seems that the world is expecting you in excel in many different fields and the surprising thing is that some of the people do manage to pass with flying colors even in this test that life throws at us. American singer, songwriter, fashion designer and occasional actress Gwen Stefani is a case in point. Gwen has indeed given a new meaning to the term ‘multidimensional’. Not only does she do many things, she does all of them equally well. I was just listening to The Sweet Escape by Gwen Stefani and I could not help wondering at her many talents. Born into a family where many of the women were seamstresses Gwen Stefani has also made her mark as a fashion trendsetter with her line of clothing that she calls L.A.M.B and the expansion of this line is called the Harajuku Lovers. The Harajuku girls are a part of her back – up dancers with whom Gwen Stefani has made public appearances and had also drawn criticism for racism.

The Sweet Escape by Gwen Stefani was her second solo album and it adds up to the more than 30 million albums that she has sold worldwide. Gwen Stefani has started her career with a band called No Doubt but the band’s popularity went into a steady decline with their third album Return of Saturn. Gwen Stefani had recorded her first solo album Love. Angel. Music. Baby. In 2004 that was inspired by the music of the 1980’s and it paved the way for Gwen’s success. It sold over seven million copies and enjoyed tremendous international success. The sweet Escape by Gwen Stefani became her second solo album that was released in 2006 and was made popular by the track Wind It Up which achieved moderate success across the globe.

Gwen Stefani catered to her musical tastes in her childhood with ever popular music of The Sound of Music and Evita and even created a demo tape for her father but she was encouraged not to take music lessons. She gave her first on-stage performance as a high school student during a talent show. Over the years as Stefani emerged as an artiste in her own rights, she found a musical outlet for the lessons that she learnt from life. Even her break up with former band mate led her to create songs such as Sunday Morning, Hey You and Don’t Speak which chronicled the broken relationship.
