Yamaha Home Theater systems acknowledge the fact that surround sound is what defines the difference between a regular television system from a home theater setup, and defines borders to just where a home theater could get to be.

Yamaha’s legendary performance comes with any Yamaha Home Theater in a Box system, with home theater packages categorized into three major model divisions. The YHT, DTX, and DVX line of Yamaha models comprise Yamaha’s line of Yamaha Home Theater Systems, and all stand tall in performance, quality and style, expected of any Yamaha surround sound speaker system.

Here are some of the more “famous” of Yamaha Home Theater systems.

Yamaha DVX-C700

Integrated with Advance YST technologies, the Yamaha DVX-C700 packages a Yamaha home theater system capable of reading DVD and CD Digital Video formats. It supports Dolby Pro Logic II sound formats, as well as DTS Digital Surround, and can handle DivX encoded media.

With a total system power specification of 900 watts, a 5 disc changer system which leaves no room for hassle, iPod portable media support as well as XM Satellite Radio compatible, it isn’t really a wonder why this particular Yamaha Home Theater systems is so popular.

Yamaha YHT-280

With 6 channels for surround sound, the Yamaha YHT-280 is another top quality Yamaha Home Theater System. XM Satellite Radio compatible, DivX encoded media capable, and built with a Compressed Music Enhancer, versatility is the YHT-280’s thing.

With support for Dolby Pro Logic II, as well as DTS Digital Surround, sound formats, it could read DVDs easy. Its QD-Bass Technology would leave listeners wondering just where the sound they’re hearing is coming from. Its cabinet type form factor makes the whole package an attractive item, making it an ideal centerpiece for a home theater system.

In the Yamaha Home Theater line, the YHT-280 is magnificent.

Wireless speakers are a great choice for anyone that wants to get rid of the clutter and tangle of messy wires. Indeed they are also an excellent choice for outdoor use, when stringing wires is not even an option. Hear rock in the kitchen, listen the music in the bathroom & concentrate on your play in the playroom in a steady mind. Of course, setting up wireless speakers is an easy and simple job. Most systems need only be turned on and properly tuned to the receiving speakers without damaging your walls.

Wireless speakers generally fall into two categories. Infrared like a television remote control, beams a signal to the speakers, which requires a direct line of site, and remember if any objects in the way it can prevent the wireless speakers from receiving the signal and creates an obstruction on your hearing process. Radio frequency is waves to transmit the signal. And while the signal can pass through objects, some static can interfere with the sound just like when listening to the radio or when using a cordless telephone.

Don’t forget to consider the range, especially for use outdoors. Many living rooms aren’t bigger than your requirement i.e. twenty or thirty feet, but to reach 100 feet away is a definite challenge. So for that purpose many speakers can be purchased from the market in order to fulfill the ranges. Remember not to believe the manufacturers assurance. One most important factor to be remembered i.e. your house width vis-a–vis the speaker you are using, building materials, other electronic devices cluttering the radio band, and even geographic location.

Have you ever experienced problems with getting your car speakers to work? Since I think many of us car owners have experienced this problem, I will provide this description of how to diagnose the problem of silent speakers and also give you some hints on how to fix it. Whether you are familiar with car stereo repair or not, this might help you. If it doesn’t, contact a dealer who can do an auto stereo repair or search for vehicle stereo repair help online. If your stereo speakers don’t work, then try

    * checking the speakers to see if they are disconnected

    * checking all fuses that are related to the auto speakers

    * tightening the butt connectors to the speakers

    * replacing all or some of the butt connectors

If your speakers are still not working, I recommend that you test the auto speakers that don’t work directly:

    * Disconnect each speaker that doesn’t work from the car’s wires and do the test below, doing one at a time.

    * Use a 9v battery and connect its leads to each auto speaker to be tested for a short moment.

o Does the speaker have movement?

o Do you hear the sound usually known as a ‘pop’ or thump?

If your answers to the questions above are ‘yes’, your speaker will probably be able to make sound and it is likely to work.

    * Also note which way the speaker are moving, whether in or out of its frame during the test. Thus you can also determine your auto speakers polarity when connecting them up to the amplifier up in the front.

    * If the cone of your speaker moves out of the basket, the lead going to the positive of the battery is the positive lead of the speaker. If it goes in the opposite direction, the lead hooked to the negative of the battery is positive of your auto speaker.

Few people think too long and hard about their computer speakers, instead preferring to just use the ones that came with their computers. These speakers are often built-in and poor quality, especially on laptop systems, and do not do justice to the very good sound quality that most computers are capable of producing.

The price range in computer speakers is even greater than that in other electronic products – you can pay anywhere from the price of a pair of headphones to as much as the computer itself cost you. It is natural, therefore, to be unsure of exactly what your money is getting you, which is where this article can hopefully be of some help.

Perhaps the most important thing you should look for when choosing your speakers is their maximum output power, which is measured in watts. This number tells you how good the speakers will sound at different volumes – while almost all speakers can sound good at low volumes, only ones with very high maximum output power will sound good at higher volumes. The higher the volume you plan to use, the more power you need.

Another important consideration is whether the speakers can produce either 5-speaker or 7-speaker surround sound, which makes a big difference over traditional 2-speaker systems. You should also check whether the speakers come with a subwoofer, which is a special loudspeaker for bass, allowing you to better hear the beat of your music. However, many people actually consider subwoofers undesirable, as they are so large and don’t always fit in well with a computer setup.
