Faxing has changed drastically with the advent of Internet. With web fax service, all you need is to attach the required document to an email and send it to your fax provider. Most Internet fax service providers use the best online fax technology having filters that can filter your attachment, convert them to a file that can be seen on screen without any additional software. Online faxing facility has numerous benefits and few of the principal benefits are:

1. Cost Savings: There is no need to invest in a traditional fax machine and eternally bother about its maintenance. Many fax machines may also require costly repairs and toner refills, regular purchase of consumables that can all add up to hundreds of dollars in the course of a year – depending on the volume of your fax messages. Internet faxes also avoid charges associated with long distance phone calls because they transmit the information over internet lines rather than phone lines. Besides, some of the service providers will offer their customers additional fax pages for free when purchasing certain plans.

2. Ease of operations: Internet faxing is childishly simple and you will not have to contend with frequent paper jams nor be annoyed with too many busy signals. There is no need for handling ink and toner and make the entire faxing area messy. You can send/ receive fax messages from any location by accessing the Internet.

3. Secure faxing: With any fax-to-email service, the faxes you send out will mostly be encrypted to ensure that it is secure and confidential. That web fax services allow you to attach files and have them converted into a format that does not require additional software to be viewed.

4. Mobile text alerts: If you are constantly on the move, it is not necessary that you hang around in the office waiting for some all-important fax message to come in. With some service providers, you can type in your mobile phone number into your fax-to-email account, and this will alert you through a text message whenever you receive a new fax message.

5. Operational efficiency: Unlike traditional fax machines which can only send and receive single fax message at a time, online faxes can send/ receive multiple faxes simultaneously making them pronouncedly more efficient contributing to improved business productivity at your office. You can send faxes without the need for a separate dedicated additional fax line.

Usually when one is buying any product or service, it is often wise to check out some reviews first before you buy. The same goes for online fax providers, viewing a large number of customer reviews and direct feedback may prove helpful, but only if those reviews are unbiased and genuine. In the majority of cases, these reviews are honest and well worth checking out before you sign up for any online fax service.

However, you must be careful that those reviews are honest and not done by affiliate marketers who are only promoting a particular service to receive a commission or fee. If you see a site or promoter just promoting one provider or product, be on your guard and do your own research before you just take one person’s word on any product or service.

Thankfully, where online or Internet fax service providers are concerned, there are countless number of sites which offers both reviews and comparisons of the different providers. It is handy to see these services compared side-by-side, so that you can see at a glance what each one offers and how they stack up to the other providers.

Online forums are other good venues for gathering information and opinions on the different providers, especially those with a lot of discussion and feedback from actual customers. Again, even here, you have to be on your guard because any company can obviously plant favorable comments and/or reviews on their own services. In the world of business, more deceptive things are done on a daily basis, so just do some due diligence to get at the truth.

Remember, getting an online fax service will usually be a long-term affair so choosing the right provider is critical to the smooth operation of your business, especially if you rely upon faxing to do promotions, bring in sales and to keep in contact with your clients. In other words, this will be an ongoing business expense so choosing the right fax provider or service to perfectly match your needs will save you a lot of money over the long haul, not to mention all the hassle or trouble you will have if you pick the wrong service.

Obviously reading fax reviews will prove helpful, but what is even more helpful are the Free 30 Day Trials, which most of the major providers offer. You can get a fax number and then test out the quality of the service before you buy. First hand experiences with an actual product or service is much more beneficial than reading a few reviews. Besides, trying before you buy is always a wise route to take, regardless of the product or service you’re considering.

We have all been there, bought a product or service only to find out later that it did not measure up to our expectations. Most times if we’re lucky, the purchased item can be returned and we are fully refunded. However, we have still wasted a lot of time and if you’re running a business, time means money. That’s why everyone should make it their own personal policy to totally compare and research a service or product before they buy.

That goes doubly true for a long term service like online fax. Usually, once you have received your fax number and start sending it out to all your contacts, you have made a commitment of sorts to having the service long term. You simply must do a little homework to make sure you get a service or provider that won’t disappoint you or your company down the road. Now that we have the Internet, that’s relatively very easy to do.

For those who are new to these types of services, it should be stated that Internet or online fax is simply using your present email account and your web connection to do all your faxing. You get a local or toll-free number which is connected to your email address, once you get a fax, you receive an email with the fax attached. Basically, you’re hiring the services of an online provider who will handle all your faxes in exchange for a small monthly fee. These web based fax services are paperless, very efficient, totally portable and much cheaper than conventional methods of faxing.

While some services do let you “port” your fax number, it’s best to pick the right provider the first time around. So you need to do your due diligence and carefully examine the different plans and different providers to meet your needs. One simple way to approach this problem is to just compare the different providers. Just compare some basic factors of each provider on your list to come up with the one best suited to meet your needs.

These factors would include: quality of the overall service, pricing, overage fees, amount of online storage, length of storage, support hours, number of email addresses, any hidden fees, set-up fees, corporate plans or services and whether or not the service has a free trial? All valid questions you should ask before signing up to any one of these providers.

Remember, with an online fax service, your messages are sent as email attachments, usually in a Tiff or Pdf format. Most, if not all providers, will give you a free 30 Day Free Trial so you can check out their services before you buy. There are also corporate fax plans which can be custom tailored to meet your needs. Once you start sending your faxes from your computer – you may never look back!

In conclusion, making a thorough comparison of all these different providers will give you all the information you need to make a wise decision. As mentioned before, this is usually a long term business expense, so picking the right one now will save you both money and hassles down the road. Do a little homework and become a smarter buyer, spend a little time now and you will reap the benefits for years to come.

Do you think it is easy to get a job these days? When you are in contention with dozens or even hundreds of other job applicants, then you should put into good use every job interview advice that you can get. And good for you because I have listed in this article some of the top tips you should try.

Keep in mind whenever you go to an interview you are basically selling yourself. Now would you sell a product of low quality? Would you present your product in a poorly designed packaging? You will understand more about these as we go along.

Provide details in your every answer.

If the job interviewer asks you what were your responsibilities in your previous job, do not provide a vague answer. For example, if you are a graphic artist do not simply say that you designed book covers. Give details such as you ‘designed progressive-style book covers’ or that you ‘collaborated with authors to bring their ideas into life’.

Do not re-state what is already written in your job application.

When you are asked to say something about yourself, do not state the obvious facts such as your name, where you live, where you last worked, what year you were born, and so on and so forth. The interviewer can easily get those details from your CV. What he wants from you is to find out about your interests and how you can relate those to the job should you be hired. So be extra mindful with your job interview answers.

Be professional. Do not be late for the interview.

Nothing else says unprofessionalism than for an applicant to be 30 minutes late. Not only you may lose the time slot allotted to you, but the hiring person might think you are giving less importance about getting the job. Also avoid arriving too early for the interview. You might bother the interviewer since he would have to attend to you the moment you arrive. It can also mean you are too desperate for the job and you had nothing else to do but look for a job.

Do not malign your previous employer.

When you are asked, “why did you leave your last job”, do not say ill words about your last company. Even if they did do something wrong to you, always say something more positive like you are looking for a better challenge or you are interested for a career growth which the company you are applying to can give you. Because when you say negative things about your former company, the hiring person might think you can do the same to them in the future.

Dress appropriately for the interview.

It is always safe to wear a business attire to an interview. It shows how professional you can look and that you put much importance to the job. Make yourself as presentable as possible but do not overdo it. For instance, do not wear a very strong perfume or cologne that it just might irritate the interviewer.

The job interview is the most crucial part of any job application. This is where the employer meets the new hire for the first time, and the old adage “first impressions last a life time” could never be more applicable. You can do many things to be sure that the first impression is a good one. These job interview preparation tips are invaluable when getting ready for your next meeting.

Tip 1)Practice the interview at home, in front of a mirror.

The more confidence you have in the ability to sell yourself, the better chance you have to make a good first impression. Be prepared for the usual questions: “Why did you leave your last job? “What did you like about your last job?” What did you dislike about your last job?” and “What makes you think you would make a good choice for this company?” are all very popular questions for an interview.

Prepare these answers beforehand and practice them. Don’t use cliches like “I am a people person,” these are vague and tired. Instead, phrase the answer into one specific for the company hiring, such as “I have always enjoyed helping people find the answers to their questions, it gives me a sense of pride” or “I enjoy the challenges of working with people.”

Never speak negatively of your last employer. That will make your prospective employer see you in a negative light. Instead, try unspecific things such as, “There wasn’t much room for promotion” or “I really just want to expand my career.” Don’t talk negatively about your boss or your co-workers if you can avoid it.

Tip 2) Dress appropriately for the interview.

Again, your professional appearance will be the first thing your interviewer notices when they meet you. The same can be said for your unprofessional appearance.

For females, a nice business suit with a modest shell under the jacket is a professional look, as is a longer skirt with a dressy top and flat heeled shoes; your hair should be neat and tied back if possible.

For men, slacks, dress shirt and a tie or a nice suit is in order with special attention to facial hair. Trim or groom mustaches or beards, or shave smoothly the morning of your interview. Dress professionally but comfortably, for ladies this would not be the time to try those high heels that hurt your feet when you walk. For men, fidgeting in a scratchy shirt will not leave a good impression.

Tip 3) Be on time for the interview; in fact, be early.

Punctuality cannot be overstressed. Being late to the interview is faux pas that you cannot recover from regardless of how well the actual interview went. An employer is looking for a dependable person; being late casts a very bad first impression. After all, if you’re late to your interview, what are the chances you’ll also be late to your job, and important client meeting, or just about any other work function?

Tip 4) Relax, be comfortable, and project confidence.

Whiel this can be easier said than done, try deep breaths or some other form of relaxation exercises before getting started on the interview. This will give the relaxed, confident air that an employer is looking for from his new hires. This is especially true for sales, management, or executive positions.

Approach the desk or chair with confidence, offer to shake hands, and do not sit until the interviewer invites you to. Look him squarely in the eye with a self assured smile.

It helps to remember that the interviewer is just another person. Before getting started, find something in his office to comment positively on; “I like that painting” or “That is a lot of trophies” is a way get the interviewer’s guard down enough to level the playing field a little, and might even be an invitation to a quick chat about the subject. The tone of the interview might be more relaxed if this tip succeeds.

Tip 5) Research the company you’re interviewing at and the position you’re interviewing for.

Know the salary being offered before you go in to the interview. Quote the salary mentioned in the application, or a bit under it, if asked what your salary requirements are. Also, understand the work hours being offered before going to the interview so you are not blindsided by requests for overnight or weekend shifts.

Be familiar with the company, it’s background, and the products and/or services they offer, especially the division or section of the company which you’re applying to work at. Know who their competitors are, and what your prospective company’s competitive strengths are.

A financial planning career deals with the management of financial investments and assets of a person. A financial planner helps the client choose from a wide array of insurance, investments and other financial services. Financial planning has a lot of branches.

There are retirement planners, estate planners and general investment analysis. There is also the scope of college funding. Financial planning is referred to by a lot of terms. These include personal financial consultant and financial advisor. However the term that truly describes this work is “Financial Products Sales”.

How to Obtain New Business?

It is important to have good communication skills in the job because to be a success you need to have a good customer base. This is one of the prime things needed to be a successful financial planning career. This business thrives on referral. If you have a satisfied client, then he/she is likely to refer you to more potential clients.

You can also find clients through cold calling, business and social contacts and by giving lectures and seminars. So we see that a wide social network is a plus point to survive in this profession. This might be one of the chief reasons why successful financial advisors start working after being in a related field such as auditor, accountant, lawyer, insurance agent and commodities or securities agent.

Education

If you want to join this field, you need to have a specialization degree in law, mathematics, business, economics, finance or accounting. If you have done some course on risk management, estate planning, taxes or investment, then you have an extra edge in making a financial planning career. But recently due to high demand of jobs in this field, special financial planning courses have also come up in various universities and colleges.

A personal financial advisor does not necessarily need a license. But if a financial planner is selling insurance, mutual funds, bonds or stocks, then he needs to be licensed under Series 6,7 or 63. These licenses can be obtained after due examinations. The Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) conducts these exams.

If a financial planner wants to take these exams, then he has to be sponsored by a ’self regulatory’ organization or member firm. Insurance and finance companies provide a good opportunity for employment for a financial planner but self employment is also a good option.

So if you think you love finance, have good communication skills and can sell anything to anybody, then you can definitely make a good financial planning career.

Online faxing is a tool that can be used by anyone, whether you are and individuals or business owner. So how can you get started with this amazing service?

Internet fax or email fax services are becoming extremely popular among small business owners, large companies and even among the ordinary Internet user. Everyone seems to be discovering the advantages of using Internet fax.

Internet fax is simple to implement or setup, it is easy to use, and it can be very cost effective for the small business owner. No second phone lines, no bulky fax machines, no more messy inks, no more paper jams or busy signals and no more return trips to office at 10 o’clock at night to retrieve that important fax.

This is one business service that’s here to stay. Mainly because Internet faxing is faxing done right!

You can fax anywhere, anytime. You can send and receive your faxes where ever you access the Internet. And these days that’s just about anywhere and everywhere on the planet.

But Are There Really Any Free Fax Services?

Yes and No! There are some Internet Fax services like eFax® which has a free faxing service but it is only free for receiving faxes — you will have to upgrade to a paid service in order to send faxes. Granted, each fax you send will only cost a few cents but this will quickly add up, especially if you send international faxes which have higher rates than domestic ones. So please be aware of this fact, free if you only receive faxes, not free if you want to send faxes.

Free Fax Trials

Many online faxing providers do have or offer a free trial (usually one month) of their services. One such faxing service provider that offers a free trial is TrustFax. Offering a free trial is a common business practice used by many services; try before you buy.

A free trial period or trial run can be a very good way to check out your faxing provider. You can check out the quality of your faxes and see for yourself what kind of support a provider has; how well do they respond to any problems that you may encounter? Can you reach them 24/7?

With a business service like faxing, superior performance and quality service is required for the smooth running of your business. A free trial is one way of assuring you only get the best Internet fax service possible.

Toll Free Fax Numbers

Many Internet fax providers also offer Toll Free Fax Numbers to their patrons or clients. Check before you sign up for any one faxing service and find out what kind of phone numbers they provide. Most offer local phone numbers and ‘never busy’ numbers.

Free Online Storage

Some email fax providers offer online storage where you can store your faxes. Usually around 15 MB to 20 MB, but this is another feature you should always check out before you sign up to any one faxing service provider. Depending on the nature of your faxes, it is never a good idea to leave vital information on the web — delete your faxes regularly if they’re of a sensitive nature.

Before You Sign On The Dotted Line

Very few things in life are really free! This includes your Internet fax service — check out any free offer or service very closely before you sign on the dotted line. Make sure you know exactly what that free fax service is going to cost you?

Traditional fax machines still exist in nearly all businesses and home offices today. However, for many years now, service companies have provided “Fax Through Email” Services, which provides the capability of sending and receiving faxes through your email. It is surprising how many offices still use and maintain legacy fax machines.

When you compare the operating costs of traditional fax against an Internet / Email fax service, you will be surprised at how much money your business and home office can save. Let us discuss and compare four expenses related to faxing, and make some conservative assumptions to see how sending and receiving faxes through email is considerably more cost efficient compared to a fax machine.

Equipment – If you do not have a fax machine or you need a new one, you will incur a one-time purchase expense (ranging from $50.00 – $200.00 USD). With an Internet or email fax service, there is no initial equipment expense or setup fees.

Phone Service – Assuming you require a dedicated phone line connected to your facsimile, let us assume an annual recurring phone bill of $360. This is the largest ongoing expense for a legacy fax device. With an Internet or email fax service, there is no additional cost for phone service. (Tip: Most providers even offer dedicated “toll-free” phone numbers as part of their basic plans.)

Operating Supplies -The primary operating expenses associated with traditional faxing is paper and ink (or toner). With a fax machine, pages are printed immediately as faxes are received. An advantage to “fax through email” services is viewing faxes without needing to print them.

You will most likely need to print some of your faxes, depending on your business or office needs, so the cost of supplies is not completely eliminated with email fax services. However, it is fair to assume a large percentage of received faxes do not need to be printed on hard-copy paper, so “fax through email” services still greatly reduce overall operating costs.

Maintenance – This fourth expense is the maintenance costs associated with your facsimile equipment (e.g. replacement, damages and repairs). You can avoid unexpected maintenance expenses with online fax services.

Based on some conservative assumptions we made on recurring expenses (not even considering equipment purchase or maintenance costs), a traditional fax machine will cost an estimate of $388 annually, compared to an Internet email fax service at around $100 annually.

In addition to reducing expenses and saving money, the benefits and features of today’s “Fax Through Email” Services are very impressive, and can quickly increase productivity and efficiency on your small business and home office.
