Chef’s Choice’s Largest Slicers: The Chef’s Choice 667 and 662 food slicers have extra large, hardened stainless steel blades and induction motors with 1/4 peak horsepower (180 watts.) These are high-torque motors that run smoothly and quietly to make fast work of the largest roasts, hams, and even large blocks of cheese.
The 662 deli slicer has an 8.6″ blade for a 6.3″ height of cut, and the 667’s 10″ blade provides a huge 7.5″ height of cut. Both slicers have smooth micrometer thickness control to select slices from deli-thin to 1/2″ thick. Fixed-tilt construction makes it easy to feed food evenly. Extra large carriage rides on sealed industrial ball bearings and is fully retracting. Solid metal food pusher provides full control of large pieces of meat. Both models have circuit breaker motor protection and recessed rocker switches for safety and convenience. Large rubber suction-cup feet provide solid, stable support.
Blade sharpener is included with both slicer models. In illustration at left, detachable sharpener is shown at top of blade on 667 slicer. Detachable sharpener for 662 meat slicer mounts on thickness control plate.
Smooth edge blade is standard with each slicer; accessory serrated blades are available below. (The 1/4 hp motor makes serrated blade unnecessary for most uses.)
